HeartFlow has appointed Noemi C Espinosa, as general counsel. Espinosa brings to HeartFlow 30 years of experience as both a business executive and outside counsel, representing medical device, life science and high tech companies.
“Noemi’s extensive experience and understanding of the complexities of healthcare and business make her an ideal addition to the HeartFlow team,” says John H Stevens, chairman and chief executive officer of HeartFlow. “Her knowledge of the legal, regulatory and business hurdles both small and large companies face will be extremely valuable as we commercialise our HeartFlow FFRCT technology.”
Prior to joining HeartFlow, Espinosa served as vice president of legal operations and assistant general counsel for Intuitive Surgical in Sunnyvale, USA. She also served as the vice president of intellectual property for Illumina, in San Diego, and spent more than 20 years in private practice as a litigation partner in Silicon Valley offices of three major national law firms. While in private practice, she advised and represented a variety of emerging growth and publicly held life science and technology companies.
Espinosa received her Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from San Jose State University, and a juris doctorate degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, USA.
