EuroPCR 2022: “Clear need” for transcatheter options for tricuspid regurgitation

“At the moment, tricuspid is the valve where most things are happening,” says Hendrik Treede (University Hospital Mainz, Mainz, Germany) discussing the latest developments in the transcatheter tricuspid space.

Treede spoke to Cardiovascular News at EuroPCR 2022 (17–20 May, Paris, France), where he presented insights into the first-in-human tricuspid valve replacement with a novel transcatheter heart valve replacement system—Topaz (TRiCares).

In this video, Treede discusses the “clear, high need” for transcatheter options to treat tricuspid regurgitation, discusses the rapid advances being made in technology in both valve repair and valve replacement.
