On 28 November, the American College of Cardiology (ACC) announced the launch of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology (JACC): Heart Failure, which will begin publishing in February 2013 and will be published on a bimonthly basis.

“The addition of JACC: Heart Failure to the JACC line-upwill help meet the need for more research in this growing field,” said William Zoghbi ACC president. “With the increasing rate of patients suffering from heart failure, the science presented in this new journal will give cardiologists access to valuable new research.”

The ACC also announced that Christopher O’Connor will serve as editor-in-chief of this new journal.

The
Journal of the American College of Cardiology first launched in 1983, with JACC: Imaging and JACC: Interventions in 2008.
