Eurocor has launched its Apertus aspiration catheter. The catheter is specifically designed for enhanced fast and accurate thrombus aspiration. The new device is being marketed in over 50 countries worldwide.

The Apertus aspiration catheter is used to remove arterial thrombus. Apertus offers an innovative elliptic cross-sectional distal form that optimises the aspiration lumen and reduces friction with the guidewire catheter. The device has one of the largest extraction lumen. Its smooth tip is specifically designed to increase deliverability and the innovative shaft brings excellent pushabilty. These features lead to enhanced efficacy with the highest aspiration speed, and excellent deliverability.

A choice of two sizes (6F or 7F guide catheter compatibility) is now available.

Lalit Mamtani, chief executive officer at Eurocor, comments: “The aspiration catheter is an ideal product that complements Eurocors product portfolio to offer the best treatment options for vascular interventions, especially for those challenging patient groups like STEMI patients, diabetic patients or patients suffering from small vessel disease in coronary or peripheral arteries.”
