The European Society for Cardiology (ESC) Committee for Practice Guidelines has released three new sets of updated guidelines in three areas of cardiovascular care: STEMI patients; acute and chronic heart failure; and the management of acute pulmonary embolism during their annual congress, which took place in Munich, Germany, in September.
