Admedus to showcase Cardiocel at EACTS

Admedus has announced its attendance at the European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery (EACTS) 28th annual meeting (11–15 October, Milan, Italy) and will be showcasing CardioCel, its advanced cardiovascular scaffold,at its booth and at a number of presentations and symposia at the conference.

Following CE marking and FDA 510k clearance, according to a press release, CardioCel is seeing increasing adoption as the tissue of choice for the repair of congenital heart deformities, more complex heart defects and heart valve repair procedures.


CardioCel clinical data will feature on Saturday, 11th October at the Admedus sponsored Techno-College, where Admedus will also have an exhibition booth. The Annual Techno-College is an integral part of EACTS and provides an update on the latest developments in the field of cardiovascular, thoracic and congenital surgery. Admedus will be exhibiting at booth #123 in the main hall from Sunday evening until Tuesday evening. A wet lab will be set up in the booth for hands-on CardioCel product demonstrations.


The CardioCel satellite symposium will take place from 12:45–14:00 on Monday, 13th October at the Milano Congressi in room Amber 6. Chaired by Mark Hazekamp, LUMC, The Netherlands, the symposium will comprise surgeon presentations and an open forum on the CardioCel scaffold tissue engineering process and clinical usage to date.
