In this video, by Heart Valve Surgery, Paul Powers describes his life before and after undergoing transcatheter mitral “valve-in-valve” implantation. The procedure, he explains, was to treat a failed surgical mitral valve – he had undergone surgical mitral valve replacement several years earlier after a mitral valve repair procedure had not been successful.

Also in the video, Chris Malaisrie (Northwestern Medicine, Chicago, USA) – one of the surgeons who treated Mr Powers – describes a transcatheter mitral “valve-in-valve” implantation procedure.
